Source Control Repositories

The Source Control Repositories link opens a page that allows the user to add, delete and view/edit properties of the repositories on the Vault server. It lists all repositories in the Vault server.

A repository is a logical grouping of files. You can create any number of repositories per server. However, files cannot be shared or branched across repositories.

The list is sorted alphabetically in ascending order.

Add

Add allows you to add new repositories to the database. When clicked, the Add New Repository page is made available.  New repositories will be created with the current settings of the Default Repository Settings.

Delete

You can delete a selected repository by clicking Delete.  Selecting this link will open a warning message asking the user to confirm the action before actually deleting the repository.

Always make absolutely sure you will not want access to the files in the repository before deleting it. Deleting a repository destroys all files and all history related to that repository and is not recoverable.

Properties

Click a repository name in order to view the Repository Properties page for the selected repository.   You can enable or disable folder security for the entire repository from this page.

The Name of the repository and the exclusive locks, check in comments and bug ID requirements can be changed from this page, as well as the Enable Folder Security option. The property page also includes the following information:

      The number of revisions

      The number of folders

      The number of files

      The tree size

      The disk space needed

      The database size
