Q12998 - INFO: Custom Collector Configuration for Collector Q12993

The Ovation Process Historian Collector is making an OLE DB Connection to the Ovation Process Historian. Once we have established this connection, we can preview a list of available points. The OPH Configuration allows us to configure the connection to OPH and which points we would like to pull into the Hach WIMS System.

 

A - Data Source: This is the location of of the Ovation Database. Generally this will be a computer name or IP address
B - Initial Catalog: This is the default Database that will will pull historial information from.
C - Provider: This is the name of the Ovation Process Historian OLE DB Provider.
D - User ID: This is the user id of the database user with read privledges.
E - Password: The password for the User ID.
F - Time Zone Offset (From GMT): This is a number that is possitive or negative that represents your offset from GMT. This is gernally included in your Time Zone Description.
G - Connection Timeout: When making a connection to the database, this is how long the collector will wait for a response.
H - Command Timeout: When we are executing a query against the database, this is how long the collector will wait for a response.
I - Refresh: This button will allow you to refresh the available tags list. This will use the currently entered Data Source Configuration settings.
J - All Available Tags: This lists all available tags.
K - Filtered Tag List: This lists all the tags that the you have selected that the Collector will collect data for.
L - Sellection Buttons: These buttons will allow you to add or remove tags from the Filtered List.
M - Search Buttons: These allow you to filter the lists to find a certain tag.
