Q12898 - INFO: Custom Collector Configuration for Collector Q12528

The Collector will not start collecting data until it has been configured. In the configuration screen you have three tabs of configuration settings. The "General Settings" tab contains information on how you want the Collector to run.

 Control Buttons at the top:

Apply Settings: Applies the settings selected for all tabs

Close: Closes the Window without applying settings

Note: Once the interface has been configured, click Apply Settings and Close. The next screen will allow you to save settings

Configure Source Data - Use this screen to configure the Collector's connection to the Rockwell RSView32 dBase IV source data.

RSView32 Data Folder -Main folder that may contain data files (dBase IV) or additional folders (referred to as "Nodes"). The additional folders will contain the dBase IV files

RSView32 Node Folder with Source File - Drop down list of all folders under the main folder

User ID - optional, used in order to connect to the source data using Microsoft Jet

Password - optional, used in addition to the User ID, to connect to source data

Connection Timeout - enter number of seconds to timeout from trying to connect to source

Comman Timeout - enter number of seconds to timeout when querying data from source

Tag Delimiter - character used to separate the node name from the tag name

Connect to Source and Reload All Tags - button

Tag Filter - Allows you to select the tags that you want data collected.

Reload Tags -button reloads tag for the node selected on Source Configuration

All Available Tags: This is a list of all the tags that are available to collect data

Filtered Tag List: Tags listed here will have thier data collected

> - Add selected tagname to Filtered Tag List

< - Remove selected tagnames from Filtered Tag List

>> - Add all tagnames to Filtered Tag List

<< - Remove all tagnamse from Filtered Tag List

Search - The search boxes allow you to search the list of tags for a particular string. The search will start from the currently selected tag (or the top if nothing is selected) so you can continue to press the search button to find the next match.
