The Hach WIMS Direct Server-Side Interface to Foxboro AIM*Historian imports data from Foxboro AIM*Historian SCADA System into Hach WIMS.

The interface is able to connect to AIM*Historian databases using the AIM*OLE DB driver. The AIM*OLE DB driver is an optional package for the AIM*Historian Suite. An OLE DB license comes packaged with AIM Datalink. Please check with Foxboro Representative for more information on OLE DB licenses requirements. The AIM*OLE DB drive must be installed on the same computer as the interface, and must be a Windows based operating system. The Foxboro AIM*Historian SCADA System can be on any operating system as long as the Windows based system can communicate with the AIM*Historian.

The interface summarizes values in either the LinearRTPEntries table or RTPEntries table depending on the statistic selected. See Supported variable configurations for interface Q12408 for more information on statistics. Summarization can be in increments of minutes, 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, hourly, 4 hourly, or daily.

There is a limitation in Foxboro AIM*. In the registry there is an upper limit of rows received at:

HKEY_LOCAL_MAHCINE\Software\Foxboro\AimHistProv

Value:

MaxNumberOfRows = 10000

This equates to less than seven (7) days when grouping by minute values, and the interface always groups by the minute. To get more than seven days worth of information, this key must be increased.
